Scrapbook Thursday

First off, I need to know if people still want me to do a scrapbook Thursday every week. There isn't as much interest as other days, so I'm just wondering if people still want this. Please let me know if you enjoy Scrapbook Thursday and would like me to continue doing this each week. If there isn't enough interest, I might change Thursday to something else....

Anyway, so to my page that I did this week. One of the links in my Motivate me Monday post was about puzzle pieces. I thought that it was super cute. I am always throwing away puzzle pieces (my boys have a really hard time picking them up, so I just toss them so they learn to pick up their toys). So I thought I would save them and put paper on them and put them on a page. So this is how it turned out:
I distressed the edges and inked them in black, it's probably hard to see that. Then put some paper and a button on it. Very simple

**I'm not a photographer and I don't know how to take pictures of pages (I'm sure you've been able to tell). My camera isn't anything special and whenever I turn off the flash it's blurry or the colors are just off. How can I take a picture without having to have the pages at an angle? Any suggestions??

I love your scrapbook Thursdays, so I hope you keep them up!!

I take pictures of my pages during the day when I can use the natural light. I use my camera's automatic setting or portrait setting with the flash turned off. That usually works for me. Hope that helps! :)

Yes, find a north window and set up your pages vertically and at an angle to the window. Set your camera to have the flash off. If its blurry, use a tri pod or something to set your camera on for stabilization. If this is too much trouble, try taping or otherwize attaching one or more layers of kleenex over your flash and take the picture as usual. The kleenex diffuses the light from the flash and softens it so there's no harsh glare and blowout. Hope something works for you. You can use this for other items as well. For having such a popular blog, you may benefit greatly from having better photos!
