Silhouette promotion, review and GIVEAWAY!! (closed)

I'm so excited for today!! I have been so excited for this day for a long time, keeping it in has made me want to burst! Before I get ahead of myself, let's start with an awesome promotion that Silhouette is having this week.

Silhouette Electronic Cutting Tool

This week, January 17-22 Silhouette is having an awesome promotion on premium vinyl and their Silhouette machine. You can get the machine, two rolls of premium vinyl, 1 roll of transfer tape and a home decor CD all for $225!! That is a $395 value, wow!! Just enter the code "SIMPLE" when you check out. Don't need the machine? Well their premium vinyl is 25% this week too, just put in "SIMPLE".

The premium vinyl is awesome, it's strong enough to use it outside but gentle enough to use it indoors!

Here's what I did with it, put my family on my car!

Now, for what I think about the Silhouette machine. I have had it for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it!! I've had a CriCut for six months now and am planning on selling it because I love the Silhouette so much more! Why you ask? Well here's what I love about the Silhouette:

-It's made for the computer, so I can use all of my super cute fonts with it. Because the program is made by Silhouette the program is super user friendly and when I have a problem I can just go to the Silhouette website. It's so easy that I have figured things out in minutes and I really don't know that much about computers.

-I love that you can buy images off of their online store and they are only $.99. I can handle spending a couple of dollars rather than $40 or more on a cartridge.

-Using vinyl with it! Since it doesn't use a mat when it cuts it, what it looks like on the computer, it's going to cut like that. I don't have to transfer it to another paper and worry about the letters being straight or not.

-I love how the program tells me what blade I need to use and how it automatically sets the speed and thickness based off of what I am cutting.

Overall I have just loved it! I have done more with it for my scrapbooking in the three weeks than I ever did with my CriCut.

Here are a few things that I have created with it:
Premium Vinyl:
Valentine's subway art
Family on my car
Coat Rack

Place mat bags
Boys' shirts

Paper:

Now for what you and me have been waiting for. The GIVEAWAY!! I'm so excited about this that I can't even contain myself. One lucky winner is going to win a Silhouette machine!!

  140. I would use it to make subway art for my dd's new room.

  141. The first thing... apart from doing a happy dance and jumping for joy, would be to cut out some sihouettes for my vintage cards and other projects... much too fiddly to do by hand and still get a professional finish.

I'm also super keen to try the glass etching. A stylish monogram on a glass would be a fab gift for someone.

So many possibilities. Thanks for the chance.
