Today is the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. I'm sure that all of us remember this horrible day! I was in high school. When I arrived at school, I had no clue what was happening. Everyone was talking about it. My first two teachers taught lessons like nothing happened. Finally by the time third period hit, I was able to watch a little bit of tv and see exactly what happened. I didn't know what to think. I was afraid and sad. I will never forget that day!
From this tragedy, our country has grown stronger and more connected. I'm proud to be an American today and everyday!! I'm so grateful for our country and freedom!

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! I was in school too--but at college. I'd been in and early morning aerobics class when it happened, so didn't hear about it til my next class, and even then my teacher just mentioned a plane hit a NY building. Had no idea how bad it was until I saw the tvs on campus later. I hope that all this remembering helps us all be kinder to each other, everywhere.

No, I will never forget. We were living in a military-base town at the time. The "extreme" security kept everyone on edge for a long time.
