GO POKES!

I grew up in the great state of Wyoming. Then I went to school at the University of Wyoming. If you don't know, UW does not like Utah teams, they are rivals. So it KILLS me ever time I walk into a store and see U of Utah and BYU things. They even sell it at Old Navy, I couldn't believe it! So I had to do something about it!! I can't go to Laramie and get UW stuff, so I had to make something to show my team spirit!

I happened to have the perfect color of shirt. I bought it for my April O'Neal costume a couple of years ago.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the letters, I used the font Impact. I then used white and brown of heat transfer vinyl.

GO POKES!!

Pinterest Picks

I'm slowing getting more and more addicted to Pinterest. I'm trying really hard not to spend too much time on there, but the days get long and well I cave in.

Here is what I found this week:

It's time for Trunk or Treats, so here a great idea to decorate your trunk!

Here they used a soap dish to store lots of different things. I use one for my bobby pins, but never thought cards or crayons, genius!

Right now we all love Phineas and Ferb (don't tell anyone, but me and my husband even watch it without kids :D). So this Perry Sandwich is awesome!

Whether I like it or not, Christmas is just around the corner. It's time to start thinking about decorating! This tulle Christmas tree is adorable!!!

These marshmallow snowmen are so cute and would make a great kid craft!

New CAMEO Silhouette

I'm sure you've heard the buzz about the new CAMEO Silhouette coming out this week. I sooooo badly want one. I'm trying to figure out how to justify buying one when I have the SD that works just fine. I just want that extra three inches!!

Silhouette Cameo

Did you know that Expressions Vinyl sells them too? Well they do and they are only $269.95 there! Is this what you are going to ask for Christmas this year? It's at the top of my list. I'm sure all of our husbands are not liking Silhouette right now....... :).

Tasty Thursday: Chicken Tortilla soup

Two times a week, we have sports at 4:10. So that means that I either have to have dinner ready and prepped before we go or I have to cook in the crock pot. I love the crock pot, so most of the time, I do that!

My friend has a great cooking blog and I got the recipe there
Chicken Tortilla Soup

This is what you will need:
1 1/2 pounds chicken breats
1 can diced tomatoes
10oz can of red enchilada sauce
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic
2 cups water
2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp cumin
1 bay leaf
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
10oz frozen corn

Combine all of the ingredients into crock pot and then cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Serve with tortilla chips, cheese and cilantro

Whatever Wednesday: Not so boring white shirt

I have a ton of white shirts, but rarely wear them because they are little too boring. Oh and because I'm afraid of staining them because of my kids. So I put some pretty flowers and swirls on this one to really spruce it up!

This is how I made it:
1) I cut the design out with my Silhouette. I used the flocked turquoise t-shirt vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.

2) I removed the excess vinyl.

Here's the design, taking off the extra took forever!

3) I arranged the t shirt vinyl onto the shirt before I ironed it on. I've made the mistake of not seeing how it will look before...

4) I then ironed the vinyl onto the shirt.

Here's how it looks all ironed on.

I wanted to add something extra, so I added some rhinestones from the rhinestone starter kit.
5) I cut a little piece of the transfer paper and put a rhinestone on it.

6) Using the wool setting on my iron, I ironed the rhinestone onto the flower for about 45 seconds.

7) Then I flipped the shirt, I ironed on the inside, to set the glue.

8) I did this again to a few other rhinestones.

And now my white shirt isn't so boring!

With the rhinestones, you have to wash the shirt inside out and hang dry.

Halloween Kid Crafts

This is Halloween week! I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about costumes (well I do have a couple of touch ups). It's going to be a busy week for me, but I love all of the fun things to do. I'm going to do a craft for my 6 and 4 year olds' class for their Halloween party. Here's what I'm going to do, I'm pretty excited for it!
