Menu Monday

March 26, 2012 by Kaysi 3 Comments

It’s Monday again and it’s time to start planning the menu for the week.  Last week I actually did pretty good. I plan a menu but rarely do we stick with it.  But last week was pretty good.  Only one thing is returning this week from last week :).
Monday: Taco soup
Tuesday: Teriyaki chicken (repeat, I was sick on the day that I was supposed to make it last week)
Wednesday: Bertollis
Thursday: Salsa Verde Chicken
Friday: Date night!!!! (Hoping to go see the Hunger Games :D).
Saturday: Pizza
Sunday: Chips n Cheese
What do you have planned for dinner?  Anyone have an amazing chicken recipe that even picky eaters eat??

I'm have a tough time sticking to my menu too. But I figure, the menu is meant to make my evening easier. If I have something planned and don't necessarily need to stick to the plan because I have the extra time or a craving, I'm okay to switch it up.

One of our favorite recipes was just featured on a food storage blog here:

Just substitute one cup sour cream for the sour cream powder and water. It is a yummy recipe, and all my kids (even the picky ones) like it.

I decided to try some of the "freezer to crockpot" recipes that keep popping up on Pinterest and on folks' blogs! I spent several hours on Monday prepping and wound up with 9 meals in freezer bags ready to drop in the crockpot! No excuses for not having something to make for dinner.
