Style Class

Becky from Whippy Cake taught the style class at Breathing Space.  I of course took this class because I really don't have much style at all and I have no clue how to dress for my body type.  Things are things that I learned in the class!!
We were all given a little booklet and then we got to fill out what our personal answers are.  Here are the things that I had to determine about myself:
-Fashion Personality
-Body Type
-Seasonal coloring
-Face shape
-Style goal
Not the best picture of me, super cute of Becky though.  We were determining my seasonal color, I was easy.... autumn.

This is what I learned from the class:
-There are 5 different fashion personalities: sporty, classic, bohemian, romantic, dramatic.
-Wearing pajamas all day isn't a style :).
-I am sporty personality.  I wear a lot of cotton, demin, comfortable clothes with little or no jewelry.  I like my comfort before my style :)

-There are 5 different body types: apple, pear, hourglass, rectangle, inverted triangle.
-Dress to appear like you have an hourglass shape.  If you have a pear shape, then you need to have more on your shoulders.  If you have an inverted triangle, then you need skirts that go out at the hips.
-I am hourglass/rectangle.  And so I need to wear things that define my waistline, including belts.

-To determine your seasonal color, you have to determine you coloring, warm or cold.  Spring/autumn have warm features and winter/summer have cold features.

-There are 6 face shapes: oval, oblong, round, diamond, and triangle.
-Style your hair to make your face appear oval.

Who knew that there was so much to style.  I had no clue.  I just throw on what I have in my closet.  Now I'm going to start looking for this that are good for my body type and my coloring!

That sounds like a really fun class!

I can dress anyone else, but find myself definitely wardrobe-impaired, lol.
