It’s the time of year to start thinking about Halloween. I always make some kind of neighbor gift for Christmas, but I thought it would be fun to make something for Halloween too. Adding personalized ribbon just adds just the right touch I think and I did that by using a printable film from Scrapbooking Attitude.
It’s a clear film that you can print onto and then put it onto anything, including paper and fabric. It’s awesome stuff!
This is how I made my personalized ribbon:
You will need:
Scrapbooking attitude printable film
Ribbon
Adhesive (I used spray)
Inkjet printer
The first thing I did was set up what I wanted to print. I used Silhouette Studio because I had some images on there that I could use. I mirrored the images before I printed them.
I printed the images onto the film, onto the glossy side of the paper. You might want to print onto regular paper before printing onto the film.
Once it printed, I let it dry before using it.
Using a paper cutter, I cut it. I cut through the plastic and the white backing.
Now to apply the film to the ribbon.
I sprayed the ribbon with the spray adhesive.
I immediately put the down the clear film onto the ribbon and pressed it down to work out any bubbles and then let it dry.
Then I tied it onto a bag filled with candy corn.
I just love the way it looks on the ribbon, so much fun!
I also made a card. I made regular pink ribbon into polka dot ribbon.
Then I put that I created the card on the back of it
Isn’t this stuff so cool? I really had fun playing with it. There are so many possibilities you can do with it. I can’t wait to make something else with it!
