I love color blocking. It’s a trend that I hope doesn’t go away soon. I especially love putting turquoise and yellow together, they are just so fun and bright! I thought it would be fun to take the those colors and lime green and put them on my nails! I had a fun time doing it and I really like how they turned out.
To get the nail polish, I went with my 2 youngest to Walgreens and get some Sally Hansen nail polish. We had fun looking at all of the different styles and products.
They had a huge selection of products, I really had a hard time picking out just a few. I love all the different colors that they had. And the different kinds of polish, pens and gels. That mint sorbet polish is awesome! To see my whole shopping trip, check out my google+ album.
I ended up going with the insta-dri polish so it wouldn’t take super long to do my nails and an art pen to help with some details. I bought the products using my Walgreens Balance Rewards card.
This is how I did it:
I took some tape and placed it onto my nails
Then I took the blue and painted my nail. It’s called Brisk Blue.
Then I peeled off the tape, this is what it looked like.
After letting the polish completely dry, I put the tape on in a different direction and then used the yellow. It’s called Lightening.
And here is the blue and yellow.
For the green, I just carefully painted the left over nail without any tape. It’s called Lickety-Split Lime.
Once the polished dried, I used the nail art pen and drew the lines. I got the pearly white pen.
And to finish it off, I used a clear coat and sealed the paint.
And here they all are!
I actually really like how they turned out! So colorful and fun, #IHeartMyNailArt!
I had to paint my little girls toes too, I love nail polish on little girls!
I was very impressed with Sally Hansen nail polish, it was nice and thick and didn’t need more than one coat (which is always nice!). Walgreens right now is having some deals on Sally Hansen products, the Insta Gel Starter Kits are only $19.99. I so want to try these!

I'm going to have to try the Insta-dry colors next! Anything that dries quickly is a win in my book!

That is a great color combination! I actually got the gel strips to do color blocking with. It was fun!
