Paper Towel Roll Turkeys

Craft Project Ideas has a material of the month every month and this month it was cardboard tubes.  When I was thinking about a fun kids craft to do with them I immediately thought about a turkey.  But I didn't want to just put feathers on them, so I went with fanned paper.  It was a fun project for my two younger kids.  They both seemed to enjoy it.

I just used materials that I had around the house, paper towel tubes, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and construction paper.

I had my kids fan the paper.  I helped out a little bit but this guy was able to do most of it.

Then I had them staple the bottom of them.  Funny thing, my little girl is into dressing herself.  Her shirt is on backwards and inside out, love the independence :).

We added some washi tape onto the bottom of the paper to keep them together.  Then we glued the face onto the tube.

And that's it!  Fun huh?  My kids sure enjoyed it!

I would love it if you followed along.
