There are a number of foods that I always have on hand. Foods that we are always using in our recipes or that we just love and can’t get enough of them. Several of those foods are from Kraft and are #KraftEssentials. A few of them are: mayo, ranch, Stove Top stuffing, Cool Whip, marshmallows and Jell-O. Right now my kids are obsessed with Jell-O. Okay obsessed is an understatement. Whenever we go into a store, we cannot leave without them picking out a flavor of Jell-O. I’m not even joking, today my 4 year old had to get the berry blue flavor because he said that we didn’t have it. I don’t mind too much because we are always having this as a side dish at dinner and it’s an easy dessert recipe.
One of my favorite things about this time of year is giving to our friends. It’s fun to show up to someone’s house unexpectedly with a treat and little note. Just to show them that you are thinking about them and that you care. Since my kids are obsessed with Jell-O, I thought that maybe other kids would like it. So I came up with a super cheesy printable to go with Jell-O and Welch’s sparkling grape juice and gave them to some friends.
I headed to Walmart to get all the things that I needed. There are so many flavors of Jell-O it was hard to decide on a flavor. We got several kinds while we were there. For my whole shopping experience, check out my google+ album.
This is what you’ll need:
2 boxes of Jell-O (or 1 big box)
1 tub Cool Whip
Jet-Puffed mini marshmallows
Fruit fresh (or canned fruit)
1) Prepare the Jell-O like the directions say to. Add two cups of boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes and then add two cups of cold water.
2) Pour into a 9×13 dish and then add fruit and marshmallows.
3) Put into the refrigerator for 4 hours.
4) Thaw out the Cool Whip a little bit and put it on top of the Jell-O.
Print out the cute printable and you have a great neighbor gift. If you don’t want to make the Jell-O, you can just put it onto the box.
Here is another way to make Jell-O, with the cook & serve pudding. It’s super yummy!
This is what you’ll need:
2 boxes of cook and serve pudding
1 large box of Jell-O
1 tub Cool Whip
1 tub Cool Whip
Cook the box of pudding and Jell-O just like the instructions say to on the box. Then put both of them together into 9×13 dish and mix. Refrigerate over night.
Once set up, put Cool Whip on top.
What is your favorite kind of Jell-O? We haven’t had a bad one yet :).
