December is a crazy month, filled with festivities, parties and get togethers. It seems like these parties are usually pot luck too. I am always looking for ideas for side dishes to bring. Something that is easy and most of all delicious. These SeaPak spring rolls are the perfect holiday appetizer and paired with my homemade sweet n sour sauce, they were the talk of our party.
I went to Walmart and got the SeaPak spring rolls. I found them in the freezer section along with the other frozen seafood.
Talk about an easy and quick appetizer, you just put them in the oven for 15 minutes or so and they are done. I love easy like this!
To make them even better, I made some homemade sweet n sour sauce.
This is what you’ll need:
3 Tbsp ketchup
1 small can mandarin oranges, drain 1/4-1/2 of the juice
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
1-2 tbsp corn starch
Mix all the ingredients together and heat. Add corn starch to thicken up the sauce. Using the whisk smash up the oranges. Boil for 3-4 minutes. Cool in fridge and then serve with the spring rolls.
Here is our table setting when we had a little get together last week.
The spring rolls were super good! They were a great side dish for our holiday meal.
Like I said before, they were the talk of the party. Our guests really enjoyed them. My friend even said that these were best spring rolls that they have ever had. They liked that they were filled with veggies instead of cabbage like the other ones. Even though there was a ton of food, there wasn’t any spring rolls left over.
If you would like to try them out, participating Walmart stores will have a demo on December 8th from 1-5pm. These are great for a dinner party recipe and can be a hit and your next gathering #PakTheParty.
I would love it if you followed along.

I'm not a huge cabbage fan either and I think this is why I stay away from spring rolls sometimes. I love them, but I tend to pick something else. I'm definitely going to try these because I like the idea of veggies and fresh shrimp in them. #client

My husband would love that homemade sweet & sour sauce. What a great way to add a little special touch to these spring rolls. #client.
