Motivate Me Monday #180

Hello everyone!!!  I hope that you are having a great weekend!  I am off in Missouri hanging out with my family for a family reunion, yay!!  I won't be on the computer much this next week.  I may or may not have posts, we will see how I'm feeling :).  So if you don't hear from me this week, have a great week!

We finished up baseball this week with my three boys.  It was so much fun.  My older boys actually got hits (with someone pitching to them), it was pretty exciting!!

Sorry that aren't any features this week, I spent the majority of the week getting ready for our vacation.  Thanks to everyone that linked up last week!!  And now onto the party!

I would love it if you followed along.

Packing with Gallon Sized Bags

This weekend we are heading to Missouri for a family reunion.  I am sooooo excited about it!!  I can’t wait to see all of my family.  I’m the youngest of 9, so we don’t get together very often.  Since we are going to be gone for more than a week, I decided that I am going to be organized with the packing.  So I am putting outfits in gallon sized bags.  It’s a great way to keep your outfits together.  You can put accessories in there too.  It’s especially nice to do with kids, so you know what clothes are clean and which tops and bottoms go together.  Sometimes my husband just puts random clothes on the kids, even though I planned out cute outfits for them.   Plus I put their names on the bags, so they know who’s clothes are who’s.  With three boys close in age, it’s gets pretty tricky at times.  I even found some 2 gallon sized bags, those were great for my clothes that were a little bigger (like jeans).

Spray Painted 4th of July Shirts

I love making shirts for my kids, especially for the 4th of July.  It's fun to have them wear it to the parade.  This year I decided that it would be fun to let them make their own shirts instead of me making it for them.  Sometimes it's hard for me to just let the kids make things without me interfering but I think that it's fun for them, so I did it :)

So this is what we came up with:
4th of July Shirts
This is how we made them:
I took some plain white shirts, acrylic paint and some spray bottles.

I added the paint into the spray bottle and then added a little water into it.

Using my Cricut, I cut out stars out of vinyl, just regular vinyl.  I had the kids put the stars all over the shirts.
4th of July Shirts (3)
Then we put some wrapping paper inside the shirt, so the paint wouldn't go through to the other side.

Then I let the kids paint them.  They loved this!!

This is what they looked after all painted.  Once it dried, we peeled off the stars.

Using my Cricut again, I cut out some heat transfer and then ironed it onto the shirts.

And that's it!  I love how different all of them look.

I can't wait to have them wear these next week!

Juicy Juice Box Monsters #MUJuice

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

Did you know that there is going to be a new Monsters movie called Monsters University?  It comes out this summer and I'm super excited about it.  Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite movies.  When my husband and I were dating, it was our movie. I even called him Sulley as a nickname for some time.  Then when I was pregnant with my 2nd child, I was 8 months at Halloween time, so I made my belly into Mike and my son into Sulley.  It was great!

What better way to get ready for the big movie than make some juice boxes into monsters?!  We had so much fun doing this and the best part, we got to drink them when we were done :).

I went to Walmart to get all of the craft supplies, juice for the craft.  Right now Juicy Juice is on rollback!  For my whole shopping trip, head over to my google+ album and check it out.

I bought the juice boxes and used craft supplies like felt, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, yarn and a glue gun to decorate them.

The kids had a blast making their monsters.

I just let them go wild and create.

Here are my kids' juice box monsters.  Aren't they so much fun?!

Such a fun activity and the best par, they got to drink their creations and enjoy some Mike cookies.  Craft and snack, a perfect afternoon activity!

There are a ton of fun Monsters University toys.  I knew that my kids would love to play with this racing one.  The monsters are balls but at the end pop up, it's fun!

Right now there is a Juicy Juice Monster-Sized sweepstakes going on that you can win a trip to Pixar studios and a $5000 scholarship.  All you have to do is buy #MUJuice and enter your purchase code for a chance to win.  It is super easy to do, I did it and you should too!

Red, White and Blue Strawberries

For the 4th of July, we are going to be on vacation so I haven’t been making many decorations this year.  I still want to celebrate the holiday with my kids, so I’ve been focusing on making fun food for them.  I saw this idea on Pinterest but sadly didn’t get a link because someone pinned it wrong (that drives me crazy!).  Anyway, that person dipped them into white chocolate.  I used what I had on hand and use whip cream instead.

This is how I made them:
I just took a strawberry and dipped it into whip cream.  I let it thaw a little first.

Then I added some blue sprinkles.  So easy and so yummy!

We enjoyed then for breakfast and the kids loved them!
