National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend #cookieboss

I am a member of the Mom It Forward community.  I have been compensated for this post.  All opinions, content and ideas are 100% my own.

Back when I was in elementary school I was always very envious of the other girls that got to be in girl scouts.  I didn't know much about it then but I specifically remember that they were always talking about being "brownies" and having no clue what they were talking about.  I remember hearing about all the fun things that they got to do.  Oh and I remember the fun uniforms too because they would wear them to school so they could go to them afterwards.

What a great program girl scouts is.  Now that my kids are getting older, I'm realizing how important it is to have after school programs that are fun, educational and a place where they are surrounded by good people.  My boys will have boy scouts but my little girl won't.  So girl scouts will be a great option for her.

Not only would she be able to make new friends and have adventures, she could also learn life lessons.  Life lessons that I can't teach her, ones that she has to experience on her own.  Like making friends and being a friend.  But also to do good in the world.  With so much evil that is surrounding us, it's so nice to see good people, doing good things and teaching our youth to do good too.  She would be able to camp and hike and learn to serve her neighborhood and build and design for things.  What a great program to be a part of!

And of course we can't forget about the girl scout cookies!!  I seriously LOVE the cookies.  I cannot get enough of the Thin Mints and Samoas, they are my favorite.  I could easily eat a whole box in about 10 minutes (I've done it before, last year actually at a basketball game).
