I love to decorate for Halloween. It’s just so fun. It means that it’s the start of the holiday season and there are just so many fun things to do this time of year. I usually try to wait until October to decorate for Halloween. But let’s be honest, with this blog I just can’t wait that long. I need to start making things in September :). You all know how I love to make super easy and fun decor. I love going through my house and figuring out things to make with stuff that I have on hand. Since I’m like most crafters (aka hoarders) I have a nice stash of paper straws. I love making things with them, so I thought it would be fun to make a spider out of them for my holiday table. Spiders seem to be the theme of my Halloween decor this year.
This how I made it:
I used some different designs of black and white straws, a white frame, 5×7 piece of glitter paper and a glue gun to make it.
I started with the body and I glued the cut straws onto the paper.
Then I made the legs.
Finally I glued some eyes and fangs onto it. And that’s it! Super easy to make. So easy that my little girl helped me out.
I put it into the frame (without glass) and then put it onto my holiday table.
I love that it is 3D and sticks out of the frame.
And here is a start of my holiday table. Not quite done with it, but it’s a start :).
