Pokemon Trick Or Treat Bags

This post contains affiliate links.

Yesterday I was thinking to myself, "I don't have any bag for the kids for Halloween."  I really didn't want to run to the store because I dragging 3 kids with me is never fun, even if it is just for one thing.  I had a lot of fleece felt over from Pokemon costumes, so I thought why not make each of my kids a matching bag.  They actually were very easy to make and didn't take super long to make.

Pokemon Trick Or Treat Bags
I just sewed together the bags and then using a glue gun, I glued the faces on.  I just cut them out of felt.

**If I were to make them again I would definitely not make the handles out of fleece, the fabric stretches as the bag gets heavier.  So I would use a think ribbon or a thicker material.**

Here are the Pikachu and Jigglypuff ones

GoodNites* TRU-FIT* Underwear

I love being a mom and a parent. But we all know that parenting has it's ups and downs.  There are just things that we have to deal with and problems that we have to figure out and make it best for our kids.  One problem that I have had to deal with all of our kids is bed wetting.  I have hard sleepers and they have accidents at night, frequently.  So I had to put something on them every night.  As they got older, it got harder and harder for them to want to wear anything to bed that wasn't regular underwear.   They would have a few dry days and I would let them wear regular underwear and then they would an accident.  It is a constant battle for us. It was something that we had to just deal with.  We would let our boys go to sleep at night with their real underwear on and then I would put training pants on them when they were sleeping.  Had we had  GoodNites* TRU-FIT* a lot of our problems would have been solved.

We now we are having the same problems with my daughter.  She wants to wear real underwear to bed but she has accidents when she does.  Lately she has been having accidents and then changing her underwear in the middle of the night without telling us and then goes back to sleep.  Her room is really starting to smell.  We needed a better solution so I got her some GoodNites* TRU-FIT* underwear.

I got the starter kit at Target.  There is a $2 coupon that comes with the pack.  They come in both boys and girls in sizes S-M and M-L.  Both come with real underwear with fun designs and the underwear is machine washable.
This is what comes in the starter kit- two pairs of real underwear and disposable absorbent inserts.

All you do is put the insert into the underwear and they are good to go!

My little girl was so excited about wearing these.  She was excited that they were purple, her favorite color and had a fun design.  She was also excited to see that they were underwear and not a diaper.  They fit her really well and seemed to be very comfy for her.  The underwear did their job in the night.  She woke up and her bed was dry, even though the insert wasn't.  It was really nice that she could go to the bathroom and just throw away the insert herself.

Bed wetting is a pretty common thing with kids. Every 1 in 6 kids struggles with it.  I know that because of it, some kids have a hard time sleeping over at other people's houses and they miss out on those fun activities.  When we send our kids to grandma's house, they are embarrassed about it.  I think with these TRU-FIT* it will make it easier on my kids because these do not look like a diaper at all.  By looking at the picture with my daughter, you couldn't tell that she was wearing underwear with an insert in it.

I love when companies think about us and our families, I feel like GoodNites® has thought about our kids and their needs.  I really think that these are awesome and a really cool prodcut! If you have a bed wetter in your house, you should head to Target and try these out.  I was very impressed.   If you would like to learn more or chat about GoodNights* TRU-FIT* you should join the #TruFitTarget Twitter party on Wednesday, November 19 at 8-9:00am (PST).

Awesome Poster Birthday Cards for Kids #KidsCards

This shop has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

November is a big birthday month of us.  We have two birthdays next month and this year my son's birthday is a pretty big one.  He's turning 8 this year and it's an important birthday to our family so I want to make it a a special birthday for him.  It happens that his birthday is landing on the weekend of Thanksgiving too, so I want to try to do little thing here and there for him so make him feel special because on his actual birthday we will be traveling.

It is amazing how a simple thing like a card that can really brighten up a day and can make someone feel special and feel loved.  These Hallmark poster cards for kids are super cool. I found the Captain America one and I knew it would be perfect for him.

I got the poster cards at Walmart in the Hallmark card section.  I found them right by an end cap in their own little section.  They had several different styles.  I picked up the Captain America one and all the Minnie Mouse one for my little girl's birthday in November.  Both of my kids are going to love them!  Did you know that there is a Hallmark cards rewards program?  For every 5 cards you buy, you get rewards, sweet huh?  Check out it here.

These poster #kidscards are so fun!  The kids get to open them and read the card.  Then they are in for a big surprise.  It's like a gift within itself!

I gave the card to my son and he was pretty excited about it.  He was even more excited when he saw that it got bigger!

Here is his reaction when he opened it, he was really excited about it.

Look at that smile!  When I take pictures of him, he usually gives me a "fake smile".  Well this is not a fake smile.  He was seriously so excited about this poster and kept on talking about it.  He asked if he could put it on his bedroom door because he liked it so much.  He also asked me if it was taller than me because he was so shocked by how big it was!  It was so fun to see his reaction!

I thought that they were so cool that I picked up one for my little girl too!  She will be so excited to get it.  The card itself is super cute!

And the inside is great too.  I can't wait for her to open it up and see how big it gets!

Aren't these so much fun?  I think so!  Don't you think that it would be a fun surprise to give one of these to someone you know and see their reaction when they open it up?  I bet that they will be excited about it!  It's a card that is a gift too, woohoo!

DIY Pokemon Ash Costume

This post contains affiliate links

Today I am sharing the last of our Pokemon costumes.  This one was nice and easy to make and I love how it turned out!!  It will go perfect with Charizard, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and Pikachu!  The main character in Pokemon is the pokemon trainer Ash.  So my oldest decided that he wanted to be him.

Here is what Ash looks like.
And here is the costume that I made.
DIY Pokemon Ash Costume (1)
For the shirt I took one of my son's church shirts (he said it was itchy anyway) and then I made a vest using a pattern and regular cotton fabric.  I then sewed the vest onto the shirt and added some yellow felt for the pockets and yellow band around the bottom.

For his hat I just took a red hat and added some felt to it.  I just glued it on with a glue gun.

For the ball I just got a red ball and painted it.

And that's it!  It was pretty easy (compared to the other ones!).  And he looks great in it!

He's ready for some action!
