I love cold drinks and popsicles. One of my favorite things about warm weather are the cool treats that I get to enjoy when it’s nice and sunny! Too bad my teeth don’t love the cold. As I’ve gotten older (and since I got my braces off a couple years ago) my teeth have gotten more and more sensitive to the cold foods. Luckily for me (and for you) Colgate has come out with an awesome new product that not only helps with the sensitivity of teeth, but it also helps care for them, giving you long lasting relief.
The new Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity Pen are designed with ultra soft bristles and the pen is made for on the spot targeting to relieve the pain.
I got the new toothbrush at Fred Meyer in the dental hygiene aisle. Many Kroger stores and Kroger brand stores might have digital coupons that you can download for the Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity Pen. You should check out at your store to see if you can get some extra savings!
This toothbrush is different than other toothbrushes because it has extra soft bristles and the sensitivity pen. You can use regular toothpaste with the brush and and store the pen inside the toothbrush.
Once you are done brushing your teeth, you then twist the pen and a gel comes out. You put the pen in the area that is more sensitive and brush for one minute and then not rinse. The Actis Enamel Pen blocks sensitivity at the source of pain. Simply: Brush, Apply, Go. It’s super easy and you will notice a difference right away. The longer you use it the formula in the gel will build up a barrier that will make your teeth less prone to sensitivity.
I have been using the toothbrush and pen for a several days now and I was ready to try a cold treat to see how it felt on my teeth. So I made an amazing chocolate covered raspberry smoothie popsicle.
This is what you’ll need for it:
Raspberry yogurt- 16 oz
Frozen berries
1 1/2 cups milk
Ice cream chocolate shell
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend. Pour into popsicle molds and then freeze for 4 hours. After about an hour in the freezer, I put the popsicle sticks into them, that way they don’t fall down.
After they were frozen, I pulled them out and then put the chocolate shell on them.
The first thing I did was took a huge bite out of it and it was amazing! I couldn’t do that before without cringing. Normally when I eat a popsicle, I use my tongue to break off a piece and then smash it on the roof of my mouth. The roof of my mouth starts to get sore and hurt because of the pressure. So it was great to be able to enjoy a cold treat without having to do that and being able to use my teeth! And the popsicle was amazing too, so it was a win win!
Do you have sensitive teeth? What would you eat if you didn’t have to worry about your sensitive teeth? I’d love to hear it!
