Bathroom Makeover with Timeless Touch Design

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape®. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am obsessed with paint.  Nothing is safe in my house (and most things are not their original color).  I love how just a little bit of paint can transform a room or a piece of furniture.  It is really amazing the power of paint.  Well recently I have been redoing my house (like the whole house) and I have been painting every room, one at a time. All of my house was a beige color (walls and ceilings, everything!) and I am updating everything a painting all the walls a nice light gray and then all the ceilings white.  I am loving how it is turning out!  I have all of the common areas done so now I am turning my attention to the rooms.  I decided that our guest bathroom was in need of a makeover and I absolutely love the outcome of it!

Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler OREO

One of my favorite treats are OREO cookies.  I just love them and could easily eat a whole package by myself :).  Right now they are having a huge contest where you can create your own OREO flavor and so it got me thinking about what kind of flavor I would create.  After lots of thoughts of flavor I finally decided on one, dutch oven peach cobbler and here's why...

DIY Fire Pit Sofa Bench with Step by Step Insructions

This post contains affiliate links.

One year ago we built a fire pit in our back yard (it only cost $60 to do and it's one of my favorite things we have every made!)  We have used it lot this past year and we just love it.  We have s'mores whenever we want and roast hot dogs on it and just sit around and chat.  It's so fun to wind down and chat with the kids (and unplug!).  Since we use it so much we decided that we could make a sofa bench for it.  I am so excited for the bench and cannot wait to use it all summer (and fall, winter and spring) long!  What I love about the design we did was that you can have 5 sections like we did or you can have 4 or 3 or 8, it's up to you! :)

4th of July Parade and Fireworks Bags for Kids

I was given product for this post, all opinions are 100% my own.

My kids love the 4th of July.  It's such a fun holiday to get all decked out in red, white and blue!  Every year we try to go a parade and then go to see the fireworks at the fairgrounds or at a park.  If you've been to a parade or fireworks, then you know that there is a LOT of waiting around and kids get restless, especially my kids.  So this year I am going to be prepared for the boredom with these super cute 4th of July parade and fireworks bags.  I figured that we needed bags for the parade for candy anyways, so might as well make them super cute and filled with lots of fun things to do before the parade/fireworks! :)

Flower Applique Travel Sized Pillow Case Made with Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting Machine {GIVEAWAY}

I was given product for this post, all opinions are 100% my own.

It's summer time and it's time to travel! This year we decided to get a bunch of travel pillows for our kids (because having full sized pillows in the car is crazy!). So we bought all 5 of our kids travel pillows.  Finding pillow cases for them isn't easy (and honestly who wants to spend so much when they are super easy to make?).  I wanted to make a super cute pillow case for my daughter's.  Since she is the only girl, I get to have fun with her stuff and go all out!  I love the look of fun flowers, so I used the Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting Machine to cut out the fabric (yes you heard that right, a die cutting machine that can cut fabric!) and I love how it turned it!

DIY Car Seat Organizer- Perfect for Road Trips

We are traveling a lot this summer and every year I try to come up with something that will entertain and/or organize my kids' stuff.  Some things work great and somethings not so much.  My daughter loves to draw and color and do all of that kid of stuff but she always has problems with dropping her stuff (it always causes a lot of crying on trips).  I have tried to make her things, like binders and stuff but for some reason they don't work.  There is just too much in her lap at once.  So I thought that maybe if I had all of her supplies and foods in front of her, than it would be better.  So far so good!  She loves this and that she can see everything in it.

How to Build a Pair of Night Stands for Only $50 {With a Charging Station Drawer}

I was given product for this post, all opinions, ideas and content are 100% my own.

The year of 2017 is the year of redoing my master bedroom.  It first started with adding ship lap to the back wall and then that made me rearrange all the decor and finding new lamps.  Then about a month later I painted the walls and ceilings.  We had that for a couple months but then we decided to buy a big reclining chair, so we had to rearrange the furniture again.  Our old night stands were mismatched and big, so it was time to get rid of them and get new night stands, that actually matched.  I looked online and at stores for night stands but the ones that I like were $70 each and I didn't want to spend that much. Plus there weren't any with the exact look I was looking for, so I decided to make some.  I love how they turned out and how they look in my room!  My master bedroom is finally complete!

Get Your Prescriptions Delivered to Your Door with Phil

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Phil, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #PhilRx  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

About two years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease.  Back when I got the diagnosis I thought that I would get on medicine and all would be good.  Little did I know that there is a lot more to it.  Lots of lab tests, lots of doctor visits and lots of different prescription changes until my thyroid levels were stable.  One of the major symptoms of Hashimotos is fatigue.  My energy levels are no where close to what they used to be.  Some days are definitely better than others, but when I am having an off day, simple tasks seem daunting to me.  Simple things like getting to the store or going to an activity.  Some days when it's really bad, I just want to spend my days in bed.

With Hashimotos I will be on a thyroid medicine for the rest of my life.  Because I take it daily, I had an automatic refill system for my prescriptions.  I would get a text when it was time to get a refill, I would text back and then the pharmacy would fill it.  Then it would be time for me to go and pick it up.... you would think that would be easy.  But some days it felt like a really daunting task.  When you don't feel good, the thought of going to the pharmacy and having to wait in line for 30 minutes doesn't sound fun at all (it doesn't sound fun, even if I was feeling good).  Even when I went through the drive through line, it was not super quick.  Then I added another prescription that got refilled at a different time as my other one, so I had to do this twice a month.  There were even times that I would get it refilled and forget to pick it up and then they would put it back and when I finally went to pick it up, it wasn't there, so I would have to have them refill it and wait the extra 30 minutes or go home and come back later.

When I found out about an online service called Phil that delivers your prescriptions to your door, I was super interested!  The thought of having my medicine come directly to my door and not having to go wait in line every month sounds AMAZING!  I immediately checked it out, transferred my prescriptions and was super impressed by how easy it all was.

How to Paint Ceilings with a Wagner Studio Pro Paint Sprayer

This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are 100% my own.

For the past few years I have been looking for a paint sprayer to get (because I do a lot of painting, not many things in my house are their original color :D).  I knew that I wanted one that would work on big things, like my fence or house or walls, but also would work on some things like furniture.  While I was at a conference in April, I was BLOWN AWAY by the Wagner paint sprayers they had.  Seriously I was like a kid in a candy store, so excited to get my hands on them and try them out!  I have tried other paint sprayers and this one was seriously awesome.  First off they were painting inside a room, with no over spray problems and the coverage was amazing.  When I finally got my hands on it and painted a design on a tote bag with a stencil, I knew that nothing would be safe in my house, I knew that I would want to paint everything (and even repaint some things!).  The first thing I did when I got the Studio Pro sprayer was took it to my ceilings.

Gluten Free Cream of Chicken Soup Mix Recipe

A couple weeks ago I decided that it was time to take the plunge and go on a completely gluten free diet.  I decided to do it for medical reasons and to see if I would start feeling better in general.  I have been thinking about it a lot lately, so I have asked a lot of questions about it and things like that.  One thing that surprised me was that there is gluten in cream of chicken soup!  I have at least 5 recipes that we use ALL THE TIME that use cream of chicken soup, so that worried me about going gluten free.  Well then my sister in law gave me this recipe and the idea of just making a mix and then adding water whenever I needed it sound so much better than having to make my own soup every time I made one of those recipes.  It's super easy to make and I know that it will definitely help me a lot with going gluten free.

Tips on How to Find the Perfect Gray Paint Color from Sherwin-Williams

I was given product in exchange for this post, all opinions are 100% my own.

My house was built in 2010, right when the dark browns and beige were super popular.  Everything in my house was beige, the walls, ceilings, tiles, carpet and finishes.  At first it didn't bother me, but as we have been remodeling our house and adding more and more white and gray, the beige wall color was starting to clash. So I decided it was time to paint my walls gray (and my ceilings white) to give my house a nice updated feel.  What I didn't realize is that gray can be a tricky color to pick, because not all grays are the same.  Some are cool, some are warm, some pull blue, some pull purple and some pull green or beige.  Plus there are a TON of different grays too.  So today I am going to share with you the process I went through to find the perfect gray for my house.

DIY Kitchen Pantry Sign with Subway Art Printable

This post contain affiliate links.

This past month we have been remodeling our kitchen and I had to change out the vinyl that I had over my pantry.  I am trying to make my style a little more fancy and not so cute, so I wanted to make a really nice frame for the space.  I had a hard time trying to come up with something to put in the frame because I wanted something there that was unique and something that you don't see every day.  I was going to do a fun quote that said "Together is our happy place" but then decided that I wanted some more fun. So instead I decided to make a fun subway art.  I love how it turned out!

Upcycled Kids' Toothpaste Holder

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tom’s of Maine for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every week when the trash and recycling trucks come to our house to pick up our garbage, I am amazed by how much waste we produce.  Since it is Earth month this month, it's time to start thinking about making less waste, recycling more and leaving less of a mark on our planet. We always have so many boxes that we get rid of all the time, so I decided to upcycle one to make a cute container for my kids' bathroom. I've been wanting a pop of orange in there but have had a hard time finding a container that worked, so this upcycle was perfect.  It was the perfect color, didn't cost me a thing and it was one less thing I didn't have to toss.

To Get a New Shower, That is the Question

This is a sponsored post, all opinions are 100% my own.

A lot of you might have seen my recent master bathroom makeover that we did a few weeks ago.  We didn't completely gut our master bathroom but really just change out the finishes to change it up.  We redid the bathtub, the floor and the vanity, leaving the shower because  it would be a big project and we really didn't want to put the time and money into it.  Plus since it was already white, it didn't clash with the new colors we were putting into the bathroom. I of course have thought about changing it out, who doesn't want to have a fancy shower, with beautiful tiles or a stand alone shower with clear glass doors to make a statement in your master bathroom?  I have always dreamed of having something like that, but reality hit and when we were redoing our bathroom, we decided not to tackle the shower.  I didn't think anything of it and posted about our makeover.

Here is a before picture of our master bathroom.  As you can see there is nothing special about the shower.  It's a decent size and does the job, it's just not glamorous in any way.

Tips On How to Find the Perfect Counter Tops for Your Kitchen

Have you ever had wanted to change out the counter tops in your kitchen or bathroom?  Well a couple months ago I wanted to and when I started looking into it, I was CLUELESS on the process that goes into it.  There is a LOT more details and steps that I was expecting.  I was thinking that you would just go to the store, pick out a granite and call it good.  But there are so many options and styles and edges and all of that jazz it was crazy confusing and intimidating.  Since I was so clueless about replacing counter tops, I figured that other people might be too, so I thought I would share the things that I learned along the way with all of you :).  So rather me showing you had it done, I am going to show you the process that you go through to get new counter tops!

Using the Power of Prayer to Feel Peace #PrinceofPeace

This post is sponsored by Mormon.org, all opinions are 100% my own.

As Easter approaches this year I have been trying to turn my thoughts and energy towards the true meaning of Easter and not towards the Easter bunny and candy (oh the Easter candy... it's soooo good).  Some years I get so worked up on trying to make fun crafts for Easter and then doing all the festive things with the kids I forget to focus the holiday on Christ.  There's nothing wrong with doing all the fun things with the holiday but it's about trying to find the balance so it is not just one sided.  Luckily for me and for you, the LDS church has set up a calendar for the week leading up to Easter that gives a theme and a simple activity to make sure that this Easter season is filled with the Prince of Peace.

Master Bathroom Makeover with Gray and White Color Scheme

This post contains affiliate links.

We have been working on our master bathroom this year and I'm finally ready to show you the whole thing, all complete!!  There were three big parts to this remodel, we tiled the floor, tiled the bathtub, and painted the vanity.  I absolutely love how it turned out and I just stare at it non stop when I'm in it and still can't believe that we were able to make such a huge difference in our bathroom.  It went from being pretty dark to being white and bright! It took us about 5 weeks to complete (really 5 weekends with me doing a few things here and there through out the week).  And if you want to see how we did a certain part, make sure to click on the links because they will take you to the tutorials on how we did everything!  And now it's time to show you my master bathroom :).

How to Cook Hard Boiled Eggs in an Instant Pot in 10 Minutes

This post contains affiliate links.

We love hard boiled eggs at our house but I don't like to boil them and deal with timing them and making sure that are done.  And then you have to cool them correctly to make sure the shells come off smoothly.  It's kinda a big hassle, so I honestly don't make them very often.  Then I got my instant pot and made them in it and I will NEVER make hard boiled eggs on the stove again!  This way is fool proof, quicker and the shells just basically fall off!  And with Easter coming soon, this is the way I will be making eggs so we can dye them.

Indoor Relay Races with Goldfish® Crackers

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GoldfishGameTime  #CollectiveBias

Goldfish® crackers are one of our favorite snacks.  All of my kids love them (and so do I!). I swear anytime we are at Walmart, my kids are begging me to get more Goldfish crackers.  We go through them so quickly because we just can't resist these fun crackers that have a smile on them.  The Snack That Smiles Back®.   After my kids get home from school, they are always asking for a snack and I usually send them to the pantry to get some of these crackers :).

We have had a really LONG winter this year.  We have had 10 snow days this winter and the weather has been awful, so we have spent a lot of time indoors.  My kids (and I) have been going stir crazy. and needed to be a more active.  And since we couldn't go outside,  I decided to make snack time a little funner.  I got the kids together and we had some fun relay races with the Goldfish crackers.  It was so fun to watch and play, for everyone in the family.
