Boys Homemade Valentine- Pokemon Pikachu Valentines with Printable

February 10, 2016 by Kaysi 8 Comments

When my son found out that I was going to make some Pokemon valentines for my other son, he immediately wanted some too.  But he didn’t want to have the same ones as him, he wanted to have some with his favorite Pokemon, Pikachu.  Since I love coming up with fun sayings and making valentines with my kids, I said yes.  I knew that I wanted to make some kind of candy into a Pikachu, but I didn’t know exactly how to do that.  So I decided to do it the easiest way, I made a printable for him. I love how these Pikachu valentines turned out, they are so fun and cute and I can’t wait for him to give them to his class.

Here is a quick video to show how easy they are to make!
This is how I made them:
I printed out the face, ears and tails onto yellow printer paper.  You can get the printable here.  I then used some gum (I used Juicy Fruit because it was yellow but it would work for any kind of gum) because the saying says “choose” which could also be like “chews”.
I cut the faces to be 3″ high then I wrapped it around the gum and taped it.
Then using scissors, I cut out the tail and ears and taped them to the back of the gum.
Next I printed out the sayings, you can get those here.  I cut them out with a paper trimmer.
Then I glued the little Pikachu onto the card.
And that’s it!  Aren’t they so much fun?!?!  I just love how they turned out.
Make sure to check out the Pokemon Ball one that I made also.
