Buffalo Plaid Fall Pillow {Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice}
Fall is coming and I cannot wait for it! Fall is my favorite season and I especially love decorating for it. This past week I made a couple of signs using white buffalo plaid and now I want to do everything with buffalo plaid! So I made up a couple pillows to go with the signs and I am in love! Check out my pumpkin sign and gather sign :).
Here is a quick video to show you how to make this adorable pillow :).
This is how I made it:
I used a pre-made canvas pillow case and then use smooth heat transfer vinyl in black and the white buffalo plaid heat transfer vinyl.
Using my Silhouette CAMEO I cut out the pillow design out of the heat transfer vinyl. Before cutting you have to mirror the image and then cut the heat transfer vinyl from the back (shiny plastic side down on the mat). Once it is all cut, you weed the vinyl (remove all the excess vinyl). You can get the design here:
Using an iron (on the cotton setting), I ironed the vinyl onto the pillow case. Make sure that all of the letters are ironed onto the pillow before taking off the plastic.
Once I took off the plastic, I put some multi use paper over the design (you can’t iron the heat transfer vinyl directly) and then ironed the whole thing again to really set it into the canvas.
I added a pillow inside of it and that’s it! Super cute and easy to make!
I also made a quick buffalo plaid pillow to go with it.
I love how it turned out and it makes me excited for fall!
It goes perfectly with the other fall decor that I made.
