Buffalo Plaid Pumpkin Sign
Fall is coming and I am so excited about it! I had so much fun making the gather sign for fall the other day that, I made another sign! Check out how I made the gather sign here. I love this buffalo plaid vinyl it’s so much fun and perfect for fall.
Expressions Vinyl has bee coming out with new patterned vinyl and they just came out with some buffalo plaid vinyl and it is ah-maz-ing!! I seriously love it! There are 4 different colors and it comes in heat transfer vinyl and in adhesive vinyl. For these signs I used the adhesive vinyl in black and white.
This is how I made it and here is a quick video to show you the process :).
This is how I made the buffalo plaid pumpkin sign. The first thing I did was cut out some wood for the sign. I used a 1×8 piece of pine board and cut it to be square (so roughly 7.5″ x 7.5″). I then cut the 1×2. Two of them were the same size of the board (7.5″) and two of them are the size of the board plus the 1×2 (so roughly 9″).
Next using my Silhouette CAMEO I cut out the pumpkin and thankful out of the vinyl.
I weeded the vinyl. The pumpkin is in the buffalo plaid vinyl and the thankful is in glitter gold vinyl.
Using the transfer tape I put the vinyl onto the board (that I painted white).
Now time for the frame. Using the nail gun, I put the frame onto the board. I started with the smaller pieces and nailed them on. Then I nailed on the larger pieces.
Here it is with the frame on it.
And that’s it!! I love how this sign turned out and how the buffalo plaid looks cut out in a pumpkin shape.
I added it to the fun wooden try and added some more fall decorations around it.
Now I am all ready for fall!
I made a pillow to go with it the sign 🙂
