I absolutely love caramel. It’s by far my favorite topping for ice cream. And when it comes to apples, I love it for dipping them in! Did you know that this caramel only takes one ingredient? Yup, it’s true. All you need is sweetened condensed milk!
This is how you make it:
Take your unopened sweetened condense milk, peel off the label and put it in a pot. Fill it with water and boil it. Make sure that water is completely covering the can the whole time. Boil the water for 3-4 hours. I had to put more water in about every hour. Just 2 cups or so.
Take the cans out of the water and let the can cool. Open it up and you have super yummy caramel! I love making 3 or 4 of these are a time and leaving them in the fridge until I want to use them. Perfect for apples, ice cream or other yummy desserts.
