Eight The Smart Mattress- Bed in A Box Mattress

Technology is amazing and it seems to be getting better and better every day. Technology has helped our lives so much and has made things easier. Well things just got better because there is now a smart mattress! Say what?! I had no clue that they could do something like that, I knew that things can help track your sleep but I didn’t realize that there is a mattress that does that. So cool, huh?!

Eight has mattresses that are formulated to help you sleep and get those eight hours that you need and then it also has a layer that is smart, meaning that it will track your sleep, cool or heat the bed and more. Crazy huh? The smart mattress comes with the memory foam mattress and then a cover that is the smart layer that you hook up to your smart phone.

As you can see from this picture it shows you how long you sleep for, your sleep pattern, your heart rate and breathing rate. Another cool thing it does is that it tracks your REM cycle and will wake you up when you are in light sleep instead of when you’re in deep sleep, so if you’re alarm is set for 7 but you are in a lighter sleep at 6:50, it will gradually wake you up then, pretty cool!

We got a king sized mattress and here is the unboxing of it. ***This video is of just the mattress not the smart layer***. As you can tell by the video it was super easy to set up, you literally take it out of the box, take off the plastic and then unfold it on the bed. Super easy and I LOVE that it gets shipped to your door, makes it much easier to deal with!

The mattress was thicker than I was expecting. I think when I think of foam mattresses I think it’s going to be like 4 inches but that is not the case. It’s the same size of a regular mattress, about 8 inches thick.

The foam was really nice, I thought that I would sink into it but it was nice and supporting. It wasn’t too firm but when I laid down on it it really conformed to my body, which is really nice because I have major lower back problems and it helped with that. I was definitely impressed with the quality of the mattress!
