It’s spring time and I have spring cleaning fever! I’m ready to start deep cleaning my whole house, declutter and just have a cleaner house! With 5 kids, my house gets pretty dirty, quickly. They gang up on me and make messes like crazy. It’s amazing how quickly they can destroy a room. They don’t love cleaning, especially when it comes to picking up their toys. It’s like pulling teeth to get them to clean, let alone help me spring clean. I’m always trying to come up with ideas to get them excited about cleaning. I figure that they make 75% of the messes, so they need to help clean them up. So I made up these individual clean up buckets for them and I was so surprised by how well they worked! They all were excited about cleaning and using everything in the buckets, especially the new PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes.
I headed to Walmart to put up the supplies for the buckets. I found the PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes in the cleaning aisle. Right now you can print out this awesome coupon to get $1.00 off any sized canister or on any two PURELL® products. They come in two different sizes: 70 count and 35 count. I picked up the smaller size because they are perfect for the buckets. Plus I love that size so I can put them into my cup holder in my car to help me clean up my family when we are on the go. PURELL® has an awesome loyalty program, you can earn points and then turn those points into coupons, products or gift cards. Check out their website for more information.
The PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes are perfect for the buckets and for my kids to help get rid of those germs that they get from cleaning or from just being kids. I put them in their buckets so when they finish cleaning a room, they can sanitize their hands. Like when they clean the bathroom, I don’t want them to to start cleaning the kitchen with sanitizing their hands. They aren’t great about washing their hands (plus they make a mess…) so this is perfect because it kills 99.99% of illness causing germs and it cleans both hands and face. Plus they are dripping water all over the place, like when they wash their hands.
This is what I used for the clean up buckets. The 35 count PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes, wash clothes, toothbrush, spray bottle, vinyl, and little broom with dust pan.
First I put the vinyl onto the buckets.
Then in each bucket I put in these things. I have found that my kids fight over the spray bottle when cleaning and they all just want their own stuff. So these buckets are perfect because they get their own stuff and they don’t have to share. I did water down the cleaner so it wasn’t as powerful.
I put them all in the bucket and they were all ready to go.
My kids were so excited about having their own buckets. My daughter asked if she could clean the kitchen, she never does that!! It was so awesome. I put them to work and they cleaned the chairs and table.
And once they were all done, they got to clean their hands with the PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes. I love how easy it was for them to take them out of the canister and they didn’t make a mess. Plus I know that their hands are actually clean.
I’m excited to have these wipes with me in my car and when I go to the park. They are a perfect way to keep my family clean. What would you use these PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes for?
These are so great. I wish I had thought to make these for my kids when they were younger. Hmm… still might do it if it will encourage them to clean. #client
I just made something similar for my toddlers. But I couldn't use actual wipes since the 2-yr-old still puts everything in her mouth. LOL
