Turn a regular stool into a fun and bright one using FrogTape® Shape Tape™
Step-By-Step Instructions
Step 1:
Clean and sand surface to prepare it for painting.
Step 2:
Paint the flat surface with white paint. I did three coats.
Step 3:
Let the paint dry for several hours and then put the Shape Tape™ onto the stool. Make sure to press down the tape so it doesn’t leak.

Step 4:
Paint a thin layer of white paint onto the chevron Shape Tape™. This seals the tape onto the wood so if the tape isn’t completely down, it’s white pain that gets under and not the yellow.
Step 5:
Once all the white paint is dry, paint on the yellow. I painted the whole stool yellow.
Step 6:
Once the last coat of paint in on, immediately take off the tape while it is still wet.
Look at those crisp lines! The FrogTape® did an amazing job blocking out the yellow paint color. The PaintBlock® technology in the tape does that, it’s a super absorbant polymer that reacts with latex paint and immediately gels up to seal the edges and blocks paint. This makes it the best tape for projects like these! No touch ups and it’s super easy to use!
