One of my favorite things about summer time is the time spent outside. Cooking, playing and having fun as a family. It’s especially nice to not have to clean up the kitchen and if someone spills, it’s not a big deal :). We all have heard of potato bars, so I thought it would be fun to do a hot dog bar. It’s a great grilling recipe. It was super easy to do and it was super yummy. Everyone was happy and ate it all great!
I struggle with hot dogs when they are not all beef. Well these Park’s Finest™ Frankfurters from Ball Park® seasoned hot dogs were very good! Much better than the cheap ones. I got them at Safeway and from 5/26/14 through 6/1/14 you can use the Just for U coupon for $.55 off one package of them. They have 3 different flavors at Safeway. I got the signature seasoned and slow smoked hickory.
We then grilled the hot dogs. Here are a couple tips to get the best flavor:
~Spray your grilled with cooking spray before putting the hot dogs on them
~Use tongs instead of a fork to turn them so they won’t lose their juices

I had all the toppings on the table and we did it buffet style. I just let everyone go and get whatever they wanted. We had chili, cheese, onion, jalapenos, relish, mustard and ketchup. Did you know the proper way to put toppings is to put on the wet condiments on first, like chili, ketchup and mustard. Then you put on the chunky one like relish and onions. Then the last toppings are the cheese and spices.
My husband had a chili cheese dog.
And I had just a regular hot dog with relish, ketchup and mustard.
