I have seen these awesome trees in blogland lately and I love how they look, so I decided to make my own. I wanted to use a pallet but no one ever told me how hard it to take apart a pallet, so instead I just used some wood that the previous owner left in the garage.
This is how I made this:
Using my miter saw (I love this saw and use it at least weekly), I set it to a 45 degree angle. I cut one side and then flipped it over to the other side and cut it.
Each piece got about 4 to 5 inches bigger.
Using wood glue, I glued the pieces to another piece of wood. Once it was dry, I had my husband put some nails to extra support.
I painted the wood green (because I like color!).
Using my Cricut, I cut out some silver vinyl. I wanted to put a saying onto the tree. I used pressure 2 and depth 2. The font is called Billionaire.
I put the vinyl on and then put it outside on my porch. I love how it turned out!
And here’s a close up. I seriously was singing the song for days after making this. Just this is line, over and over again!

I love your tree! I love that you painted it, that green is the perfect color! What cartridge did you use for the font?
