Chicken Chow Mein

  • 3-4 chicken breast frozen or raw
  • 3 cups chicken broth or 3 cups of water and 3-4 chicken bullion cubes
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups celery diced
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 1 can bean sprouts drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts drained
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce


  1. Cook chicken in Instant Pot.  Frozen chicken cook for 15 minutes, raw for  12 minutes.  Add 1/2 cup of water to pot before sealing. 

  2. Add oil to large pan and add cooked chicken.  Add salt and pepper and heat for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add chicken broth, onions and celery and heat until boiling.  Cover and shimmer for 10 minutes. 

  4. Uncover and then add bean sprouts, water chestnuts and soy sauce.  Cook until vegetables are tender.
