I am really into redoing my furniture right now. In the past month I have already a chair, dresser and now an ottoman. And I plan on doing two other chairs. I have had the same furniture for 6 1/2 years, I guess I was just ready for a change!
I found a great chair at a garage sale for $7.50 (all it needed was a cleaning, yay!!). We wanted to keep the ottoman that went with the other chair, but I wasn’t digging the red so much with the chair. Well the same day that I found the chair, I found some awesome fabric (2 yards of it!!) for $2, so I used that.
This is what it looked like before:
And here is the after:
It’s not perfect, but I really like the color of it! I just sewed the fabric directly onto the ottoman. I didn’t want to deal with taken it off and all.
And here are the two of them together, I basically paid $10 for them! (Not including the pillow)
Seriously, I love garage sales!!

They look great together! And what a good deal! You go girl!
I've never recovered anything… I am not very good at anything but hand sewing, and that's only because I'm scared of my sewing machine! Pathetic, really. 🙂
