Halloween Ladder

I have this super cute ladder that I like to decorate for every holiday.  I decorated it for spring/Easter and loved the look of it.  I wanted to decorate for Halloween, the only problem was that I couldn’t just run down to the store in Utah (like I did for the Easter one) and get wood shapes that I wanted.   So I had to get creative.  I really badly wanted shapes for it, so I broke down and bought a band saw.  And I’m so glad that I did, it’s awesome!

This is how I made it:
I drew all the shapes onto the wood and then my husband cut it out with the band saw.  It’s super awesome and does a really good job cutting it.  One day I’m going to get the guts to try it out.

Here are all of the shapes cut out of the wood.

I painted all of the wood and then added glitter to all of them (because I love glitter!).

For the blocks, I put some scrapbook paper on them with mod podge.  I used the sparkle mod podge for the top layer.

I added some white vinyl and some ribbon to hang them up.

And here are all of the pieces all done and painted.  The candy corn.

The pumpkin.  I added raffia and wire for the leaves.

The ghost.  I added vinyl for the face.

The witch’s hat.  I just tried some tulle around it to decorate it.

And the complete ladder.  I love it and can’t wait to decorate it for every holiday!
