At my new house, we have three doors that lead the outside. One to our living room, one to our mud room and one to the apartment in the basement. Since we use two of the three all the time, I want to have wreaths on both of them. I have my candy corn wreath from last year for one, so I needed to make another one for Halloween. I have a lot of fun Halloween paper, so I wanted to use that and Mod Podge. So this is what I came up with.
This is what I used to make it:
Mod Podge (in the picture, it’s the outdoor kind but I actually ended up using the sparkle one)
This is how I made it:
For the clothes pins, I first spray painted them green. Then I cut out strips of paper. I put a layer of mod podge (the regular kind) onto the clothes pin.
Then I pressed down the paper onto the clothes pin. I made sure all the air bubbles were out and then I put the sparkly mod podge on to the top. I love the little sparkle it gave the paper, especially the black paper.
Next I cut out a circle out of card board.
I covered it with paper, just like I covered the clothes pins. Then I put the clothes pins all around the card board circle.
I made a spider out of pipe cleaners. I had to use what I had on hand…
Next I made a little banner and then added some ribbon to hang it.
And now I have a fun and bold Halloween wreath of my door!
