Snowflake Frame

November 28, 2012 by Kaysi 5 Comments

I have a thing for snowflakes and snowmen.  I just love them (but really hate the snow…).  I love decorating with them for Christmas and winter.  While I was in Utah, I was at Joann’s and the check out line was long.  So of course I started looking in the bins.  Those things are dangerous and definitely there for a reason to lure you into buying something.  Well I saw the wooden snowflake and like a sucker bought it.  Glad that I did, because really like how this turned out.

I picked up the snowflake for $1 and then found the frame at a thrift store for $1.50.

I took out glass of the frame and painted it red.  Then I painted the snowflake turquoise and added some glitter to it.

I hung it from a string and stapled it to the frame.  Super easy!

I would love it if you followed along.

You totally just made my day! I had a frame leftover from my advent calendar {too small so had to get another one AFTER I had already painted the first one}. Now, I know just what to do with it thanks to your post. 🙂
