With school starting soon, you may be on the hunt for a new cell phone for one of your kids.  That is what we are doing right now since our oldest will be in (gulp) middle school!!  Not sure how that happened because I still remember him going to kindergarten and it felt like yesterday.  Now that he is going be to in middle school I am really starting to think about getting him a phone.  He will be walking to and from school and with all of his sports and other clubs, it would be super nice to be able to get a hold of him through out the day.  We have used Walmart Family Mobile before and have had really good experiences with it.  Well they just got even better and I can't wait to use it for my son!

Walmart Family Mobile has some great plans that are perfect for any one in your family, plus they have some awesome phones that go with them.  And now with their Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plan you get Unlimited Talk, Text & Data which includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE plus you get a free movie rental from VUDU each month (which is a $7 value) all for $49.88.  This is an awesome deal! Check out the WFM hub to locate an in store event near you and a rep that can help you, plus at the event there will be a code that you can scan to receive a free power up for the Endless Runner Game on the Angry Birds Action! app.  And if you find an Angry Birds display, you can scan the code to unlock selfie augmented reality experience with the Hatchlings. Disclaimer: All prices for phones and plans included in this post are accurate as of the date of posting; however, these prices are subject to change. Please refer to http://cbi.as/4q-u1 or your local Walmart for current pricing.

As I said before, there is a plan perfect for anyone in your family. For me, I would love the PLUS plan, the idea of 10GB of 4G LTE sounds AH-MAZ-ING (that's why we got it for our son)!!  Last month 3 days before our family vacation I got a text saying that we had used up 75% of our data and we had a full month left before it started over again.  That won't happen to us with the 10GB!

With each plan you have to get the Starter Kit and now that it is on Rollback it only cost $19.88!!  You can bring your phone or you can buy one, either way $19.88 is a great price to activate your phone! And since you get billed later, you only have to pay that out of pocket right away (if you bring your own phone).

I ended up getting the Samsung Galazy On5 for my son, he's really excited about it and I love the price of it (it was only $119) and the coverage!

Another thing that I am excited about is the free movie each month.  It will be so nice to be able to watch a new movie every month on VUDU.  We love doing family movies together.  Every Sunday we do a family picnic with nachos and watch a movie together.

On a recent family movie night, we watched Angry Birds. We had to watch because we were so excited to see it. It was a nice family activity.

Once we watched the movie, the kids really wanted to play the game again.  So instead of just playing it on our phone, we decided to play it in our front yard and it was a BLAST!
This is how I made the Giant Angry Birds game:

For the sling shot, I used 1" PVC pipe and using a miter saw cut 11, 2 foot pieces.  Then I used 4 elbow connectors and 4 T connectors.

I put all the pieces together.

Then using a drill, I drilled a hole big enough for an eye bolt.  I did that to both sides of the sling shot.  On one side, put screwed in the eye bolt and put a nut on it.

Then I put a bungee cord with a ball at the end through the eye bolt.

For the other side, I put the bungee cord through the eye bolt and then sewed 3" elastic onto the bungee cord (it was about 12" long).

I then sewed the other side of the elastic to the bungee cord (just with a needle and thread).  And now the sling shot is ready to go!

Now time for the pigs!
I drew the shape of a pig onto some paper to make a pattern, cut it out and pinned it onto two pieces of green felt.

I cut out the pig shape and then cut out the face features out of felt and glued it on with a glue gun.

You can put the pigs together with a glue gun or you can sew them.

I used a glue gun to put together this one, I just glued the sides together and started with the ears.  I put stuffing into the ears and then worked my way down until the whole thing was filled and glued shut.

And that's it for this pig!

Here are a couple more that I made.  I sewed the edges of these pigs.

For the birds I painted faces onto some balls.

Now time to put them altogether.  The kids and I painted a bunch of boxes to look like wood, stone, TNT and glass.  Then we set it up and put the pigs and golden egg onto them.  Then we put a couple cinder blocks onto the sling shot so it wouldn't go up when you pull back the bungee cords.

All you have to do is take the birds and pull them back into the sling shot and let them fly!

It took a little bit of practice but we got the hang of it and hit the pigs right on!

The whole family (and some neighbor kids) joined in for the fun, it was a blast!  We were out there for at least 2 hours playing and I know that we are going to set it up again!  For more Angry Birds ideas, check these out here
