Summer time is here! May is always a crazy month, with all of the end of school year programs and activities. I always get excited for the school year to end and for things to get less crazy and busy. And then I remember and realize that summer isn’t laid back and slow, it’s just as crazy! Between summer vacations, sport practices and trips to the pool, things get hectic around here.
Right now my boys have baseball practice two times a week at 5:30 (with a 20 minute drive) so I have to have dinner ready by 4:30 those days. I need a quick and easy thing to cook that is good, but also has some kind of protein to help give them enough energy to get through practice. That is why Tyson’s Home Style Chicken Fries are great! They are a quick chicken dinner that I can make in 15 minutes and my kids love.
You can eat the chicken fries alone or in a meal. We love wraps at our house, so I made a BLT chicken wrap that was super yummy!

I headed to Sam’s Club and bought the chicken fries there.  For the whole shopping experience, go here.
Here is what you’ll need for the BLT chicken wrap
Tyson Home Style Chicken Fries
Tortillas
Avocado
Tomato
Lettuce
Bacon
For the sauce:
1/4 cup ranch (optional)
1/2 cup mayo (1/4 cup if you put ranch in it)
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to the taste
Toss all ingredients for the sauce into the blender and set aside.

This is how you make it:
Bake or microwave the chicken fries.  Cook the bacon and chop veggies.
BLT Chicken Wrap (3)
Wrap up in a tortilla and enjoy!

The sauce is super yummy and makes the wrap!  You can dip the wrap in it or just put it inside (that’s what I did).

I found these fun fry holders at the store, dressed them up with washi tape and served the chicken fries in them.  My kids loved it! They asked when the next time we will have #ChickenFryTime.

Pretty soon, there is going to be a contest on Tyson’s Facebook page for Six Flags tickets for your family vacation.  Make sure you like their page so you don’t miss out on the contest!

I am not sure I could eat the chicken fries, but maybe a homemade crispy chicken. Sounds tasty!

I love crunchy veggies with chicken in a wrap. Those fry containers are adorable — I need to find some so I can make a fun meal, too. 🙂
