Big Wood Glittery K

February 20, 2013 by Kaysi 5 Comments

When I was decorating my craft room, I wanted to have a fun and big K for the room.  I live 3 hours away from a craft store and the ones online were super expensive, so I decided to make my own.  I spent $.50 on the wood and I had the paint and glitter.

This is how I made it:
I took some wood and traced a k onto it.

Using a band saw, my husband cut out of the k.

And here it is all cut out.

I spray painted it lime green and then while the paint was still wet, I put some glitter in my palm and then gently blew the glitter onto the wood.  I did that all over the k.

Here it is all glittery.

And I love how it turned out!

It look perfect in my room and on my Minibox!

I’m thinking that I need a big glittery G for my master bedroom or living room.

I would love it if you followed along.
