Thanksgiving Shirt Ideas with SVG Cut Files
Thanksgiving is such a great holiday, but I feel like it just gets over looked be Halloween and then of course Christmas. I have never had any Thanksgiving shirts, until now :). I thought that it would be fun to make up a few shirts that would perfect to wear during the fall but also on Thanksgiving. I am seriously going to wear the best leg day ever shirt on Thanksgiving, it’s so awesome! I have SVG cut files for each of the designs too, so make sure to download those. Now lets get to these fun Thanksgiving shirts!
Here is a quick video to show you how I made these fun Thanksgiving shirts.
This is how I made them:
I started out with some fun plain tees, all of these came from Walmart but I love getting them just about anywhere. Hobby Lobby and Walmart are my go to places to get them. I then used some fun heat transfer vinyl for the designs.
For the best leg day ever Thanksgiving shirt, I used a black stretch HTV and then a Easyweed HTV in the color chocolate. The stretch HTV is the best for shirts because they stretch and just work better, especially for women’s shirts. I cut out the design with my Silhouette CAMEO and then weeded the vinyl. Make sure you mirror the image and put the shiny/plastic side down when you are cutting it. You can get the best leg day ever shirt here.
Once the design was all weeded, I cut it out and then placed it onto the shirt before ironing/pressing it on.
Before I put the vinyl on, I pressed the shirt to get all the wrinkles out of it. Then using my heat press, I then put the design onto the shirt. Since there are different layers, you have to do them separately. After each layer, I used the heat press cover sheet to protect the vinyl. You can also do this with an iron, just make sure you that you put enough pressure onto the iron to make sure that the adhesive really adheres to the fabric.
And that’s it for the best leg day ever shirt!
Now for the grateful buffalo plaid pumpkin shirt. This one is super cute and simple and really perfect for all of fall. For this one I used a super pretty buffalo plaid HTV and then a stretch HTV in white. You can get the design for this shirt here:
I made this shirt the exact same way as the other shirts. I love how it turned out and the colors look great on the black shirt.
For the final Thanksgiving shirt, I used a fun mustard shirt and then this gorgeous floral fall pattern HTV and an Easyweed HTV in the color brown. As you can see by this picture, when I cut the word GIVE, I also cut the word thanks too and then just removed that word when I weeded the vinyl. You can layer heat transfer vinyl, so this step isn’t necessary but I have found that it lasts a little longer when you don’t layer and have the HTV directly adhere to the fabric. So really it’s just a preference thing. I did the same thing to all 3 Thanksgiving shirts.

And here is what it looks like on the shirt, I just love it!
Here are all of the Thanksgiving shirts that I made, and I love them all! I can’t wait to wear them this month!
I couldn’t let me have all of the fun, so I made a super cute Thanksgiving shirt for my daughter. For this one, I wanted a cute turkey and thought that the word gobble would be fun with it too :). You can get the design here:
Here is a closer look, I love how it turned out! I used the same floral HTV and then I used Easyweed HTV in the colors orange soda, cardinal, chocolate, brown and yellow.
