Now that my oldest is in preschool, I got to make home made valentines with them. It was a lot of fun! This is by far the best part of the holiday, coming up with cute rhymes or sayings! I remember one year, filling a funnel with mini M&M’s, putting a piece of thread at the bottom to hold it in and attaching it to the card. When the card was opened, the thread broke and the M&M’s fell into a jar and the card said, “My love for you is like a funnel, I just can’t hold it in!” Super cheesy, but I love it :). Anyway, this year I was trying to do something with candy and a cute saying, but I didn’t want to buy any candy. I bought a LOT after Halloween, so I just wanted to use what I had. I was super excited when I came up with these two sayings: (I put in coolest for the boys)
Our playgroup is having a little Valentine exchange and since I have two boys and there are about 16 kids, I have to make 40 of these. Luckily the boys helped me with the mod podge and the clothes pins. I thought that they would just do a couple and I would do the rest, but they both helped me the whole time. It was a lot of fun! I love making things with my kids!
