Ombre Wooden Beads Necklace

There are a lot of trends out there right now.  Some of them I love, some of them I don’t care for.  I really like the ombre look.  My favorite accessory are necklaces, so I decided that I wanted to make a fun ombre necklace.  This was super easy to make and I love how it turned out.

This is how I made it:

I took some wooden beads, paint and the bottom of a t-shirt that I refashion a couple months ago.

I painted the wood beads and painted them.  I used a q-tip and a cup to let it dry.  For the lighter colors I added some white paint to it. 

Once the beads were all painted, I cut the shirt into a 1 inch strip.

I used some washi tape to make an aglet (thanks Phineas and Ferb for teaching me that word) on the fabric and threaded the fabric through.

And that’s it!  Super easy!  It’s hard to tell by the picture, but in person there is much more of a difference in the colors, it’s subtle but different :).

And here it is on.  I love how bold it is!
