Mud Room Makeover

May 29, 2013 by Kaysi 8 Comments

Our house has a bunch of different entrances.  We use the front door and then the door that is down in the basement, into what we call the mud room.  There are actually two more but we really don’t use those.  During the school year, the kids would come home and just dump everything on the floor of the mud room, so I decided that we needed to do something about it.  So I labeled the hooks for their coats and got containers to hold shoes.   And then I felt like I needed to make it cute too!  So here is our little mud room.

I love the look of shelf!  The bright colors make it look so much better in there.

No mud room would be complete without a rug to wipe your feet on.  I painted this one to make it match the décor.

Here’s a fun pallet art that I made.

I used my trusty Cricut and white vinyl to label all of the hooks.

I would love it if you followed along.

Our house SO needs this kind of thing! Our "dumping grounds" is just inside the door coming in from the garage and it's a narrow hallway! I love what you've done here, especially all those bright colors and names on the coat hooks!! 🙂
