Tutorial Tuesday: Circle Flower Shirt

October 18, 2011 by Kaysi 12 Comments

Yup you guessed it, another turtleneck refashion :). This one is super simple and my husband didn’t even know that I made it. He just thought that I bought it from the store (even after I told him that I was up in the middle of the night making shirts :D).

This is how I made it:
1) I took a turtleneck

2) I then cut off the sleeves and neck. I hemmed it and gathered the sleeves (big surprise… :D).

3) With the sleeves, I cut out four circles.

4) I folded the circle in half and then half again to make the petal. I pinned all four onto the shirt and then sewed them on.

5) I then cut some leaves out of some other shirt fabric I had left over and then sewed those on.

Here is the flower. It needed something, so I added a button in the middle.

And just like that, another shirt refashion!!
