Is it too early to start thinking about Valentine’s day? This year I have to extra prepared because I don’t know when the next time I will be able to get to a Walmart to get supplies.
This year I wanted to make each one of my boys’ valentines to be something that they really like. My middle son is obsessed with drawing, so I wanted to do something with a pencil. So I came up with this little idea.
This is how I made them:
I made several different saying, one to give to a boy (or girl), one to give to his teacher and then one for the girls. You can get the free printable here. I left a space so my son could sign his name at the bottom.
I cut the little tags out with my paper cutter, then in the middle of it I made a couple of slits to put in the pencil, they were about 1 inch wide.
I slipped the pencil into the slit.
And that’s it! Super easy and fun!

Love this! My son won't eat candy (I wish he would but he has sensory issues and doesn't eat much) so Valentine's is sometimes hard for him at school. Giving pencils as treats is perfect for us. Thanks for sharing this idea and your printable.

I am so impressed that you have valentines done already! I have a bunch of valentines pencils I bought last year and didn't use, so I'm excited to copy your idea 🙂

First, way to go for being on top of it on the V-day treats! Second, I love this idea! Anytime I can do something non-candy related is a plus in my book! Hopping over from the Tatortots link up! Happy Friday!
