Creating a New Room with Tarkett Flooring

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tarkett NA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been trying hard to put together my family room.  I just recently bought a new couch, did a makeover on the ottoman and have spray painted a ton of stuff to make it work in there.  No matter how much I do in there, I cannot stand the carpet.  It's something that I really badly want to change.  I would love to put in a nice dark brown hardwood, Did you know that are a ton of different kinds of flooring?  When I say hardwood, I'm not sure exactly what I want because there is so much to choice from.

There are so many kinds, like there is FiberFloor, with is woven with fiberglass, foam and tough, resident layers to make it a very durable flooring.  It stands up to wear and tear, stains, waters and kids.  There is also something called Luxury Tile Flooring  from Tarkett and that are like tiles but can be with or without grout.  They can be  a floating floor also.  They are very versatile plus durable.  Of course there is also laminate too, so many options to choose.

Luckily they have these really cool application that you can upload your photo and change out the flooring to see how it looks in your room.  It was so cool!  Tarkett has one called RoomVue and it was super easy to use.  I just uploaded this picture of my family room.
And then with the arrows, I selected the area that I wanted to change up.
I went through the flooring and decided to go on with the FiberFlooring because it just sounded really good.  It was fun to see all the different colors to see it matched or if it clashed with my decor.  I found a nice dark wood one in the color Dark Roast.  Once I got that in, I was able to see what the floor would look like with different paint colors.  I chose a nice light grey for the walls and I love how it looked with the dark brown.
They have a variety of tools to help you design palette that suits your style and a photo gallery for some inspiration.  Then there is the iSelect which is six easy color combinations that help you choose flooring and products that go together.

I really like the colors of this one, with all the grays.

And I love that this would really brighten up a dark room.
