When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I’m not very romantic. My husband and I don’t do gifts or anything, but I do like to make him something every year. He loves Reeses, so I decided to make him something that involved that. So I came up with the idea of a candy pouch with silly sayings on the front that either had to do with Reeses Pieces or ripping and tearing the heart to get to the candy.
This is how I made it:
On normal computer paper, I printed out the saying. Then I used a large heart die to cut it out.
I cut out two hearts.
I didn’t have any Valentine’s day paper, so I decided to use LifeStyle Crafts new Shape’ ‘n Tape washi sheets. We have all heard of washi tape, but these washi sheets are AWESOME!! You can do some many things with them plus they have a ton of fun colors and designs. They even have little dies that are fun, they look like you tore the washi and the little flags.
I used the little dies in my die cutter and cut out the washi sheet.
I decorated the front of the heart. Then I sewed the bottom 2/3rds of the heart.
I filled it with the candy and then sewed the rest of the heart shut.
Here are a few more that I did with the fun dies and washi sheets.
Remember, you can get 20% off your entire purchase at LifeStyle Crafts with the code SIMPLE. Their dies can be used on any die cutting machine!

We don't do a big romantic thing for Valentine's either. Or any other time really! But I'm like you, I do like to do something a little special so he still knows I think he's awesome 🙂 I might just have to make some of these for him.
