I have a little girl that loves purple, it’s her favorite and she likes to tell me that all the time. Since purple is one of the colors I use to decorate for Halloween, I wanted to do a few more things in purple, just for her. In a house full of boys, sometimes we just have to be a little girly.
I had this idea to make a witch’s hat using a Styofoam cone and a circle base. So I headed to Jo-Ann store to to see if I could find the supplies. I almost jumped up and down when I found this little hat, it was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I love it when that happens. So I picked up a fat quarter in this fun purple fabric to cover it with.
I cut out a circle in the fabric and put it onto the hat. I used Mod Podge to glue the fabric onto the hat.
I then covered the cone part of the hat, I used my fingers to make sure that there were no air bubbles.
I wrapped the base with some glittery green tulle.
And that’s it! Super easy and quick. I put it together with some other witch decorations that I had and to create some #spookyspaces.
I had it on my piano and I love how the purple looks against the white.
I would love it if you followed along.
