Spray Painted 4th of July Shirts
I love making shirts for my kids, especially for the 4th of July. It’s fun to have them wear it to the parade. This year I decided that it would be fun to let them make their own shirts instead of me making it for them. Sometimes it’s hard for me to just let the kids make things without me interfering but I think that it’s fun for them, so I did it 🙂
So this is what we came up with:
This is how we made them:
I took some plain white shirts, acrylic paint and some spray bottles.
I added the paint into the spray bottle and then added a little water into it.
Using my Silhouette, I cut out stars out of vinyl, just regular vinyl. I had the kids put the stars all over the shirts.
Then we put some wrapping paper inside the shirt, so the paint wouldn’t go through to the other side.
Then I let the kids paint them. They loved this!!
This is what they looked after all painted. Once it dried, we peeled off the stars.
Using my Silhouette again, I cut out some heat transfer and then ironed it onto the shirts.
And that’s it! I love how different all of them look.
I can’t wait to have them wear these next week!

I know what you are talking about letting the kids go for it and keep my fingers out of it. it is so much fun and the kids doing the same creative things we love just feels like a fun thing to do.
