I was not planning on decorating for St. Patrick’s Day this year. Not with Easter being only two weeks afterwards. But then last night after my son’s birthday party, I had an idea. So I decided to make it, it was a washi tape rainbow plate. Once I finished it, I couldn’t not decorate. I had already bought the shamrock’s for the garland, I made the bakers twine word and subway art already, so I just decided to do it. It probably won’t last until March 17th because I might want to decorate for spring before that. But here it is!
Here’s the plate that I made that made me want to decorate more.
This is how I made it:
I just took a normal white plate that I got from the $1 store.
Then on the diagonal, I added washi tape.
I added all of the colors of the rainbow. Thank goodness of Roy G Biv or I would have never remembered the order
Using my Cricut, I cut out some black vinyl. I used the setting 3 and 3. The cartridge was CRR basics
I transferred the vinyl to the plate with transfer tape. You have to be careful so it doesn’t take up the washi tape.
And that’s it!
I love the colors of it!!
