I am loving all of these shirt refashions I have been seeing. I have over 100 shirts, so I really don’t need any new shirts but I like to have something new and exciting. This solved my problem and it was free!!
These are a pair of my sons pants, yup there’s a nice hole it in, so I decided to take them and make flowers for my shirt.
This is how I made it:
1) I cut the pants into strips. As you can see, they don’t need to be prefect and they can be various sizes
2) To make the flower, cut a circle out of felt and then tie a knot at the end of the strip. Then with a glue gun, glue it to the felt
3) Twist the fabric and then start circling the knot, gluing as you go
That’s it for the flowers! I just glued them directly onto the shirt. And yes it has gone through the wash and did just fine!!
This is super easy but it gives a little life to my shirt and I’m excited to wear it again!

Turned out really cute and a great way to use up some of those trashed pants.
I think you might need to join Shirts Anonymous. 😉

Great idea. I love the flowers out of those pants, if it was me, I'd be looking for a million other things to put the flowers on! lol

So darling. But girl, you must have the patience of Job! That looks so time consuming, is it? So cute though. Be blessed. Cindy

Cindy:
it's not time consuming at all, it only takes a couple of minutes for each flower. Probably all together about 30 minutes

I'm just catching up on blogs from when I was gone on vacation. great minds must think alike! I just made a shirt and headband with flowers like this. I saw them in a shop in San Diego and thought, "I could do this. For much less than it costs in this store!"

I LOVE it and I am linking this post to my blog. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I'm dropping by from the Shabby Chic Cottage linky party. Cute idea! I love making yo-yo flowers, but this is so much simpler! I like the look of the twisty thing. Those flowers would look perfect on the denim purse I made out of my son's blue jeans a couple of weeks ago. I've been wondering what to do to embellish them. Hmmm…
I love cute shirts too…refashioning is so fun isn't it? Donna @ Comin' Home
