I don’t know about you, but I love fruit! I love this time of year because the fruit is actually fresh and there is so much more variety. We would just put our fruit on top of the microwave, not very cute. So I came up with this idea.
I just took a bowl that I bought from the dollar store and a goblet that I got from thrift store for $.79. I put green and brown rub ons onto the outside of the bowl and then glued the two together. I was really tempted to spray paint the goblet but I decided that it looked good as glass.
Put some yummy fruit in it and just like that we have a fruit bowl for $1.79!!

Hey, that's cool. My dollar store is scary though. I don't want to go in there.

New to your blog via Twice Remembered. What a clever and creative idea! Will the rub ones stay intact when you wash the bowl?

The Rub ons are on the outside of the bowl so when I wash it, I just make sure that I don't getting them super wet. I'm not going to scrub them or anything like that.
