The spring and summer bring so many things that I just love about the two seasons. I love when I walk outside and you can smell food, knowing that someone close by is grilling and making up something amazing! We really enjoy cooking outside too, making hot dogs and burgers and other amazing dishes. I love that’s it easy and usually not as much clean up :). This past weekend I made up this honey mustard chicken sandwich and it was AMAZING!!! Seriously, I ate the whole thing and was wanting more. The homemade honey mustard made with the New Heinz® Yellow Mustard totally makes the sandwich.
I headed to Walmart to get the Heinz Yellow Mustard. I found it in the aisle with the other condiments. The mustard was across the aisle from the ketchup. The Heinz Yellow Mustard comes in 8, 14 and 20 oz bottles. The new cap down bottle makes sure that the first squirt isn’t all watery or you get that mustard plug that comes out at the beginning. And it’s super easy to squeeze out.
This is what you’ll need for the honey mustard:
1/2 cup Heinz Yellow Mustard
1/2 cup Heinz Mayonnaise
1/3 cup honey
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix together.
This is enough to make a batch, so I put it in a jar so I can use it in the next few months. This stuff is amazing though, I love it! I’m excited to dip my chicken strips in it and put it onto all my sandwiches. The Heinz Yellow Mustard gives it just the right flavor. The new mustard has a secret blend of spices and vinegar to enrich the flavor, plus it used 100% natural ingredients.
This is what you’ll need for the honey mustard chicken sandwich:
Homemade honey mustard
Buns
Chicken (I used a breaded chicken that I baked but grilled chicken would be great too)
Bacon
Tomatoes
Avocados
Lettuce
Onions
Put all the topping on to the buns and then pour the honey mustard on.
And then enjoy this delicious sandwich! I bet you are going to want more after you’re done with it!
Is your mouth watering yet?? Because mine is and I just ate lunch!
The honey mustard was great for the chicken but when it comes to hamburgers, I just love the Heinz Yellow Mustard by itself. It gives the burger just the right amount of flavor and tang! Pair it with Heinz Ketchup for the fries and you have a perfect meal!
What is your favorite thing to grill outside? What do you like to put mustard on? I would love to hear it!
