This year I’m not decorating a ton for Thanksgiving and autumn. I had a ton of decorations but the mice got to the box and ruin quite a bit. I would make more but we are leaving for 10 days to go to Utah and no one is coming over for the holiday, so I’m not doing much. I think the things that I will do are going to be more kid friendly and things that my kids can make with me. Here is a fun turkey that I made.
I’ve seen a lot of people use the paper towel rolls for a lot of things. I thought they made perfect feathers, so I used it to make a turkey. I just cut the tubes about the width of the washi tape.
I covered the inside and outside of the cardboard with washi tape.
Then using pipe cleaners, I glued the body onto the cardboard.
Then I added the head, eyes and beak. I thought it needed something on the bottom, so I used some foam stickers to spell out gobble.
I added some feet and then put it into a 5×7 frame.
I think it turned out pretty cute. It was fun to make and it would be a great thing to make with your kids.
I would love it if you followed along.
