Caramel Popcorn Pumpkins

October 3, 2013 by Kaysi Leave a Comment

I just recently got my braces off (insert huge smile and jumping for joy!) and one of the first I wanted to make was caramel popcorn that my mom made growing up.  That was something that I definitely could not eat with braces.  I love this recipe, it’s so yummy and gooey!

This is what you’ll need:
1 cup corn syrup
2 3/4 cups brown sugar
1 can sweetened condense milk
1 cube butter
popcorn (I used microwave buttered popcorn because I like the sweet and salty taste)
1) Boil corn syrup and brown sugar until sugar is all dissolved
2) Add the can of milk and boil until smooth
3) Add the butter and boil until the butter is all melted.
4) Pour over popped popcorn

I added orange food coloring.

To make the pumpkins, I just put the popcorn on some saran wrap, made it into a ball, put some washi tape for the stem and drew a face with a sharpie.  Super easy and yummy!

I would love it if you followed along.
